…I called after the guy on the sidewalk in front of us as he hurried off. Of course he didn’t turn around cause all he heard was “Bark! Barky-Bark!” I am telling you, since you humans are such technological smarty-pants’ you really ought to work on an instrument that allows you to understand my language. 

Of course, I can totally understand why that thought would be a bit intimidating to you, but you are missing out on a real wealth of information. See, we doggies have what I think of as the primo view into human behavior; you could learn a lot about yourselves from us…so like I said, I can understand why you’re intimidated.

Anyway , back to Mr. Dropy. I tried to tell him that Andrew Jackson had somehow escaped from his wallet and fallen onto the sidewalk behind him, but he just thought I was barking cause I wanted to bite him. And apparently my servant just thought that I was trying to sniff a whiff of “other dog” because neither one of them took me seriously. So Mr. Jackson got away and may still be a fugitive to this day for all this doggie knows.

My point is that it made me start to think about how often I see you humans just allowing Mr. Jackson, Mr. Lincoln, and even Mr. Franklin to escape from your wallets without posting bail. If you can afford that, then it seems to me that you could every once in a while walk those sneaky past presidents down to the local jail (bank) and lock um up…make them start working for YOU, not the other way around.

Oh, and next time that you hear a friendly dog yipping at you, you might want to check to see what he wants, instead of assuming that he’s just barking for the fun of it.
