Hey ! welcome to the November issue of Genius in Leadership. If you’re just tuning in to this series on Value Driven Transcendence be sure to read the previous entries on The Secret as well. In the previous entry, we talked about the cause of imbalance and the thing which causes our true potential to remain hidden.

Now we move on to the four laws of Value Driven Transcendence, beginning with the Law of Clarity. The Law of Clarity is the beginning of building a personal sense of value that unleashes your full potential.

Now most of the time it’s taught that Clarity is about knowing what you really want. But most of us already know what we want. The problem is that fear or insecurity keeps us from going after it.

These insecurities and fears have nothing to do with what we want, they come from what we believe about our own value. If these things are not dealt with, it doesn’t matter if you know what you want or not.

This is how one person applies a goal achievement program or sets a New Years Resolution and gets no results while another person achieves success. It’s not about the program, it’s about the person .

This is why knowing yourself is the foundation of personal empowerment. In order for you to become all that you are, you have to know who you really are and value yourself based on who you really are. Anything else is an illusion. This begins with confronting your insecurities, not trying to get rid of them.

Burying your “imperfections,” just builds the fear that you’ll be “found out.” Besides, even if you manage to hide your insecurities from others, you’ll never be able to hide them from yourself.

When your insecurities are hidden, they’re no longer participating in your outer experience. Therefore they have no chance to grow and to mature within the context of real life.

This is how grown people end up with parts of their character which are childish and immature.

So the Law of Clarity begins with knowing yourself and accepting all that you are….for better or worse. This level of self awareness erases uncertainty and insecurity because it brings all of your “imperfections” out in the open where they can  grow and mature.

This is the root of true confidence. Confidence based on genuine knowledge of who you are, warts and all. Confidence without Clarity is like a frail mask which is designed to hide imperfections.  Without Clarity, confidence is not rooted in the reality.

This is the beginning of personal greatness, accepting your imperfections and daring to shine in spite of them.

Once this is established, you can move on to the second law of Value Driven Transcendence:

The Law of Elimination.
