Once the dieting ends, there is nothing to keep the fat from coming right back.
The Acai Berry Diet: It's still a mystery why an antioxidant is being sold as a weight-loss agent. Not to mention the price...hmmmm. High profit margins anyone? Like anything that sounds too good to be true, the Acai Berry Diet just doesn’t deliver the goods.
The Grapefruit Diet: a short-term diet plan in which most of the weight lost is from fluids, not from fat. Plus, you have to eat or drink grapefruit…at every meal. It doesn’t matter how much you may like grapefruit, thought of eating it constantly for weeks on end is enough to make anyone gag. Could you do this for life? If not, don't count on lifetime results.
The Nutrisystem Diet: In my humble opinion this is simply an attempt to sell a specific food product line. By the time you add in the additional nourishment that you don't get from the nutri-system foods (dairy, protein, vegetables, fruits) you're spending nearly $500 a month for one person. Not only that, what if you get bored with eating ONLY the foods the plan tells you too? Preservatives that throw your endocrine system (which controls your metabolism) out of whack leave you with depleted energy and a body that can't defend itself from disease. No thanks.
The Jenny Craig Diet: Even if you can manage to handle this expensive and inconvenient meal plan, how long can you keep it up? If you don't plan on staying on this system for life, you'd better have a plan for keeping the weight off after you're off it. Not to mention that their claim to fame is celebrity customers like Kirstie Alley and Monica Lewinsky who, like 95% of dieters, lost weight and then gained it right back plus some more.
The Weight Watchers Diet: Now instead of counting calories you spend your day keeping track of a complicated point system! Who has the time or energy to fit this into their life? Not to mention that such complex tracking and calculating takes all the joy out of eating.
The Southbeach Diet: Highly processed foods which contain preservatives that blow out your metabolism and promote the growth of cancer cells. What's the point in trading one health problem for another? Not to mention that you STILL have no assurance that you're going to stick with the diet for life.
